4/25-5/12: Public Hearings- MassDOT Capital Investment Plan (CIP)

Following the "Capital Conversations" series held throughout Massachusetts in the fall of 2015 to solicit public input for the preparation of the MassDOT 5 year Capital Investment Plan (CIP), MassDOT will be hosting a new series of public meetings througout the spring of 2016 to present and discuss the Draft CIP.  This multi-billion dollar program makes long-term, multi-modal investments across the Commonwealth and covers all MassDOT highway and municipal projects, regional airports, rail and transit, including MBTA and Regional Transit Authorities as well as the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

Your participation is critical to its success of the plan and, ultimately, how our state decides to spend over $14 billion to repair and improve our transportation network over the next 5 years. Read about it here.

We all know that our rails, roads, bikeways and bridges urgently need help. These public hearings are an opportunity to ensure that the Capital Plan that is set to be approved on May 23rd is a true reflection of our  transportation priorities. Now is the time to weigh in!

If you can't attend one of the 15 meetings that MassDOT has set up across the state, please send an email no later than May 13.
