The 2015 Massachusett ECO Awards will be Held on

Thursday, March 26th at Fenway Park! 

The 5th annual Excellence in Commuter Options (ECO) Awards are brought to you by MassCommute, the Massachusetts Coalition of Transportation Management Associations the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), and MassRIDES, the statewide travel options program.

The ECO Awards celebrate Massachusetts employers and their efforts to reduce congestion and greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging employees to utilize green transportation options. Employers can make a huge difference by encouraging employees to travel to work by public transit, bicycling, walking or through the promotion of carpools and vanpools.

What are the ECO Awards?

The Massachusetts ECO Awards are a celebration of the exemplary contributions employers have made toward encouraging and supporting employees who use green, sustainable and healthy transportation options in the Commonwealth.

Who Is Invited?

The ECO Awards are open to any Massachusetts employer who is a TMA Member Company and/or MassRIDES Employer Partner, and who complete an annual questionnaire identifying the current sustainable commuter option programs their worksite offers to its employees.
Watch for your official invitation in late February.

What awards will be presented?

All businesses will be recognized in one of three award categories: 

Pacesetter Award
Leadership Award
Pinnacle Award

Additional recognition is given through the Spotlight Awards, which are presented to employers whose efforts have resulted in outstanding sustainable commuter option accomplishments.

The 2015 Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) Patriot Chapter Conference will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Newport Marriott Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island. Held this year In partnership with the New England Parking Council, The ACT Patriot Chapter Conference is the leading transportation demand management conference in New England, attracting informative speakers, industry experts, and emerging professionals to share their stories of success, experiences, and ideas for the future. 

ACT supports mobility management professionals at private employers, metropolitan planning organizations, regional Transit authorities, universities, state & local governments, and transportation management associations in their efforts to promote transportation options, reduce traffic congestion, conserve energy and improve air quality.

5/9-5/16/15: MassCommute Bicycle Challenge 2015

The 20 year tradition continues in 2015 with the MassCommute Bicycle Challenge (MCBC) from May 9th-16th! A signature event of Bay State Bike Week, the MCBC invites commuters across the Commonwealth to "Live Life on Two Wheels" and log as many trips as possible by bicycle throughout the week. The week-long event is FREE and brings thousands of Massachusetts businesses, educational institutions, and municipalities together in friendly competition celebrating the power of bicycle commuting.
