Our Mission

If you commute in Massachusetts, are tired of fighting congestion,
want to save some commuting dollars, this site is for you!

MassCommute is a group of Massachusetts Transportation Management Associations (TMAs), which leverage public and private funds to increase the use of ridesharing and other commuting alternatives that reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality across the state. TMAs not only embrace the public-private partnership; we ARE it.

As membership organizations TMAs operate in specific geographic areas to influence transportation policies and create programs for TMA member employers, institutions, governmental organizations, and commercial property owners. By collaborating and sharing resources, TMAs promote the use of alternative commute methods, making it easier to get around by reducing reliance on single-occupant vehicles. TMA activities contribute to limits on sprawl, more efficient use of existing transportation infrastructures, and improved commutes for employees in Massachusetts.

MassCommute seeks to increase public awareness of key transportation issues and promote a wide range of Transportation Demand Management (TDM) measures throughout Massachusetts.
