"TDM Champions" 0f 2016 Honored at MassCommute Member Recognition Event
MassCommute honored three outstanding TDM (transportation demand management) professionals at its 1st Annual MassCommute TMA Holiday Party and Member Recognition Event on December 13th: Larry Brutti (MIT), Stacey King (BU), and Aaron Clausen (City of Beverly). The "TDM Champion" Awards are a new program developed to recognize individuals at TMA member companies who have gone above and beyond at their workplace to create innovative commuter options programs and support their local TMA(s). MassCommute Members Recognized at ACT National's "40 Under 40" Awards
Two MassCommute members- Patrick Sullivan, Executive Director of the Seaprort TMA and Monica Tibbits-Nutt, Executive Director of the 128 Business Council- received recognition at this week's Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) TDM Forum as "40 Under 40 National Leaders Honorees". The awards recognized leaders in the transportation demand management industry, highlighting a diverse group of individuals who range from digital start-ups and big name companies, who make transit options more accessible, to city and regional transportation officials most effectively increasing the use of commuter benefits and rideshare across the country. In September 2016, the Alewife TMA, encompassing the Alewife/Fresh Pond region in Cambridge, became the 14th member of MassCommute. The TMA’s mission is to further the common good and general welfare of the people in the City of Cambridge through support of sustainable economic growth that enables a high quality of life within the community while contributing to a healthy environment.
